It is only when we get back in touch with our creator God, that we can find true freedom.
He made us.
He knows us.
He loves us.
Because God knows how we are made, he also knows how we function best.
We have been designed for relationship.
God wants us to have a great relationship with him, and a great relationship with the people around us.
But that cannot happen whilst we are in rebellion towards God.
The Bible calls our rebellion "sin".
It affects who we are and what we do: the way we think, the way we talk, and the way we act.
The bad news:
Our sin separates us from God.
The good news:
When Jesus was crucified just over 2,000 years ago, he died in our place, to solve our sin problem.
Through his sacrifice, we can now come into a great new relationship with him.
We can become his children:
- If we choose to believe in him.
- If we choose to receive him.
- If we admit that we are sinners.
- If we make him welcome in our hearts - in that inner place that you may like to think of as: the real "me" inside the visible "me".
To all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.
