Being Church - even during the Coronavirus situation
Please see this message from our Pastor.
I stood in church on Sunday 15th March, and announced that, whatever happens with the Coronavirus situation, we will continue to be Church.
I did not imagine that those words would be put to the test, just 2 days later.
In view of the guidelines from the government, and from FIEC, we have decided to interrupt all of our face to face activities and meetings, until further notice, due to the Coronavirus situation.
However, we are sure that those of you who are part of us, here at Great Hollands Free Church, will agree that we want to continue being Church. We will be praying for you all regularly, and keeping in contact by phone etc. Please do not hesitate to contact us yourselves too. Let's encourage each other, and if you or someone else is in need, please let us know. Please be looking out for each other.
And if you are new to our church, or to our website, please contact us if you would like to have a chat, or if you are in need of support. We are your church - here in your community. Even if we cannot meet face to face - we are still here for you. Our contact details are here.
We also plan to update CHURCH 2 GO on the website each week, for you to access wherever you are. You will find it here: CHURCH 2 GO
Following Jesus has never been easy. Even in Bible times people had to be reminded to encourage each other, as this short quotation demonstrates:
Let us consider how we may spur one another on towards love and good deeds, not giving up meeting together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging one another.
Hebrews 10:24-25 (NIV)
Let's continue "meeting" together, albeit remotely and using technology.
May the Lord bless you.
